In August 2023, the Hawaiian town of Lahaina experienced the deadliest U.S. wildfire in more than a century, which killed 102 people, displaced thousands and turned the town into ashes.
In March, 2025, I saw a post by Jim Hart looking for a marketing manager for his GoFundMe page. Our first conversation lasted over two hours, full of small-world-connections. Jim is a native to Honolulu and the founder of Maui Custom Homes and Remodeling. He also owns Bend Custom Homes and Remodeling. He has a plan and crew ready to rebuild Lahaina, but the funds are lacking.
